Mihir is a Partner in the Consulting practice of PwC India and leads the Payments Transformation practice. With close to 20 years of consulting experience, Mihir has developed strong business and technology consulting expertise in India and international markets, including the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.

 

Mihir is passionate about helping clients in the Financial Services sector, Conglomerates, and Government entities to build and grow their payments businesses. He has been a key figure in India's digital payments growth story, managing the core team that set up the domestic card scheme, RuPay, from 2011 to 2013. Mihir works closely with India's central payment operator on strategic initiatives and has been at the forefront of establishing country-level payments infrastructure for 5-7 countries.

 

In addition to his work in India, Mihir collaborates with fintechs and payments companies to develop strategic roadmaps, assist in regulatory compliance, improve operations, and provide technology advice. He is also a member of PwC’s Global Payments Leadership Council, where he regularly discusses matters of global interest in the digital payments industry.
